inheritance
the habits (whether you're conscious of it or not) you offer your children to emulate can provide them a foundation for continued health into adulthood or habitual misgivings they will fight (for some, a lifetime) to try to correct. barring progenitorial epigenetics, your circle of influence reaches far beyond your immediate circle - persons, unbeknownst to you, who look to you and never vocalise it. your habits can fill them with inspiration or the seed for capacity (that can lay dormant for years only to awaken when time affords them reflection and recollection). there is passivity in rote imitation because, frankly, ’tis the simplest transference of physicality to others. you move how those around you move.
so stand the fuck straight, look persons in the eye, and navigate this third stone from the sun with kindness, grace, and equanimity.
